Bell Schedule

• Monday 8:40-1:30

• Tuesday-Friday 8:40-3:10

Doors/gates will open at 8:25am and all students should report to the multi-purpose room (MPR)/cafeteria and surrounding areas until 8:35am. The first bell is at 8:40am and the final bell is at 8:45am.

At 8:45am (final bell) all teachers will have their students line up on their respective playgrounds.

Dismissal time is at 1:30pm on Mondays and 3:10pm Tuesday to Friday.

Parking, Drop-off, Pick-up

Drop-off and pick-up are at the front driveway of the school only. Drop-off is from 8:25am to 8:40am. Students should not be dropped off before 8:25 am because there is no staff to supervise.

Students enrolled in LEARNs morning care can be dropped off at the lower gate next to staff parking between 7am to 8am. You will need to contact the LEARNs staff as the gate will be locked. This is ONLY for students who are enrolled in LEARNs morning care. Please wait with your child until they are safely inside the gate. Do NOT leave your child unattended.

Please do not park in the church lot next door. The church parking lot is for church use only, and we need to respect that space. If you wish to walk your child to school, there is street parking available on Sierra Madre Blvd. and surrounding streets.

Follow all traffic rules when dropping off and picking up your children. Please obey signs and traffic laws, avoid double parking, and do not drop your child off in the median in the middle of the street. Always drive carefully on Sierra Madre Blvd. This is a 25 mph zone. The safety of our students is our top priority, and it’s essential that all parents do their part.

Dress Code

We have a suggested dress code. Students are encouraged to wear navy blue, light blue, red, or white polo shirts, and khaki or navy bottoms.

On Fridays we encourage all students to wear their red school T-shirts as a sign of school spirit.

Front Office - Absences / Tardies

If your child is tardy, please send them to the front office for a tardy slip. If your child is absent, you can call the school office at 626-396-5860 or email Ms. Fisher as well as your individual teacher.

Room Parents

Room Parents are liaisons between the teacher and students’ families. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get involved in your child’s classroom! Responsibilities and expectations vary between teachers and parents’ availability. Typical duties may include: in-class parties & activities, assembling classwork & homework, and organizing field-trip chaperones.

PUSD Aeries Parent Portal

Aeries, PUSD’s online portal, is a way for parents to see their child’s info and progress. There’s also an app that can be downloaded onto your mobile device. Student info, attendance records, report cards, medical info, programs and test scores can all be accessed using Aeries. Parents will need to fill out a form at the school office to obtain a registration code.
